Dan Pena’s real name is Daniel Steven Pena, and he was born on August 10, 1945, in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. He spent his childhood days in East Los Angeles. Dan joined the California State University-Northridge to receive a degree in Bachelor of Science (B. S.), in Business Administration. He graduated from the University in 1971.

Dan had earlier served in the United States Army in the late 1960s. He then decided to build up his career as a financial analyst. That made him join Wall Street.

After a brief stint on Wall Street, he founded an oil company, the Great Western Resources, Inc. He was able to earn huge revenue from the company since he had gathered vast experience working in the various companies that belong to the financial background.

In the early ’90s, the oil company generated revenue of more than $430 million dollars. Despite his great effort in leading the company towards generating huge income, he was thrown out as president in 1992. Dan didn’t take the movement of shareholders positively, and he went on to sue the company. He was subsequently awarded the amount of $3.3 million by an American jury over his dismissal.

Dan purchased the Guthrie Castle in 1984, through which, he operated several of his businesses. He has been conducting business seminars and providing the wedding facilities in his castle. Dan also founded the Quantum Leap Advantage Methodology in 1993 to guide business companies from start. He has in fact helped many entrepreneurs to establish their own companies.

In January 1997, he founded the independent financial consultancy firm, the Guthrie Group, which focused mainly on the facilitation, initiation, and completion of difficult transactions worldwide.

In 2017, one of his employees in the castle named Craig Williamson put him in big trouble, after he committed fraud by renting out the castle for high charges, and charged a double or triple amount for booking wedding facilities. Despite the fraud activity, he forgave the employee and compensated the client worth $130,000.
