With his involvement, Snoop reportedly wants to connect with minority groups and grow the sport. Snoop is willing to attend several Senators home games next season if the Sparks’ group wins the bid. To win the bid, Sparks and Snoop’s team will need to outbid the Remington Group and Ryan Reynolds. As per sources, Reynods’ group is considered the favorite to win the bid.

Reynolds and the Remington Group are all set with their plan to bid more than $1 billion to purchase the Senators. On the other hand, Sparks’ and his team are also putting their hats in the ring. The deadline for the final round of bids for the team is May 15.

Nonetheless, there are many other groups showing their interest in purchasing the team. The Sparks’ team includes big investors including some big names in Canada. The ownership battle for the NHL team gained momentum after the Senators’ former owner, Euge Melnyk passed away at age 62 in March 2022.

Last year, Rocco Tullio and Michael Andlauer tried to purchase the Senators for $650 million. However, their offer was rejected. Nevertheless, the Ottawa team is likely to announce their new owner shortly.
