BigWalkDog was born in Flint, Mississippi. He is currently known to be 25 years of age. His real name is Da’Jour Walker. He was a kid when he shifted his place to The Magnolia State. Walker shared a close bond with his father, who relocated to Detroit. He used to live with his mom, and some time with his grandmother. His mother was a visitation officer who worked at a correctional facility.

Walker was very close to his grandmother who passed away in 2020. He wanted his grandmother to witness his success when she was alive. In one of his interviews, he shared that his grandmother might be looking down from somewhere and saying Look at Da’Jour. You go boy.

Walker mentioned that he was born with music. He always wanted to pursue music professionally. Walked used to get noticed by people whenever he used to rap constantly. He lived with his cousin in Memphis in 2020 where he used to work at a factory. Though he had a busy schedule during the day, he used to find time for music at night. He used to record in a local studio after coming from work.

BigWalkDog released his independent song “Pull Up” in March 2020. Following that, he released a few songs that helped him earn early recognition such as “B. T. D.” and “Tyson”. His songs eventually caught the attention of rapper, Gucci Mane, who signed him to his label The New 2017 in May 2021. Walker could not believe it when he was mentioned by Gucci on his Instagram. After signing a deal with Gucci’s label, he joined Gucci’s force on the song “Poppin”.

The official music video of the song “Poppin” was released on May 25, 2021, on his official YouTube channel. The music video quickly amassed 10 million-plus views and trended at #2 on YouTube. As of now, the music video has over 30 million views. Walker continued to gain success through his next released song “Whole Lotta Ice” featuring Pooh Shiesty & Lil Baby. Within a week, the official music video of the song cracked 2.8 million views on YouTube.

BigWalkDog has been uploading his new songs on his self-titled YouTube channel. He created the channel on June 2, 2021, after being signed to The New 1017. His recent music video on YouTube was uploaded on April 13, 2022, which has the title “Nino”. Previously, he uploaded over a million views earning music videos titled “I’m A Dog”, “Real As It Gets”, “Son of A Gun” and “Trap Life”.
