Conway the machine is a rap recording artist and songwriter from New York. He is currently a member of Eminem’s Shady Records. His first official release with Shady Records was a studio album, God Don’t Make Mistakes, which was released on February 25, 2022. Conway the machine previously released his first two mixtapes through Griselda Records.

Conway the machine was born on February 16, 1982, in Buffalo, New York. He has not shared much detail about his parents and upbringing. The rapper seems to be close to his mother.

In October 2020, he organized a lavish birthday party for his mom. He also shared a few pictures on his Instagram page with the caption “Love u to pieces mommy”. He gifted his mom a brand-new truck and captured his mother’s reaction in an emotional video. Subsequently, in November 2022, he shared a long Instagram post saying that he is having a hard time dealing with the fact that his mom is not well.

During that time, he weaned from a gangster lifestyle to focus on his music career. He was shot in the neck and shoulder in 2012. Due to that, he became partially paralyzed and gave him a signature slur. In 2014, he started releasing his own projects through Griselda Records.

In 2015, Conway dropped his first two official mixtapes through Griselda Records titled “The Devil’s Reject” and “Reject 2”. He also collaborated with Westside Gunn and released two collaborative EPS through a label titled “Daupe!”. After that, they dropped their first collaborative EP, Hall & Nash in 2015. Then, they released their second EP, Griselda Ghost in 2016. In April 2016, he was introduced to Prodigy of Mobb Deep during Hell On Earth tour.

In March 2017, Westside Gunn’s record label, Griselda Records signed a deal with Shady Records. Conway’s first official release after Griselda’s deal with Shady was G.O.A.T., which was released on December 21, 2017. The mixtape’s production work was done by Griselda’s in-house producer, Daringer, and The Alchemist.

Following that, he dropped a collaborative mixtape titled More Steroids with DJ Green Lantern in 2017. In May 2019, he collaborated with Westside Gunn and Benny The Butcher and released their first song with DJ Premier which was titled Headlines.

In July 2019, he released the song titled Bang, which was expected to be the first track from his album, God Don’t Make Mistakes. Earlier in 2018, he stated that his debut album was 90 percent complete. Contrary to what he said, his first studio album was titled From King to a God, which was released on September 11, 2020.

During that time, he continued working on his songs, mixtapes, and collaborative albums. Conway finally released his much-awaited album, God Don’t Make Mistakes as his second studio album on February 25, 2022.
