Damson Idris is a talented actor from London. He was earlier more interested in soccer. But, as he grew up, he decided to pursue a career as an actor. In early January 2023, Idris confirmed via Instagram that he is currently dating a model and entrepreneur, Lori Harvey.

He was born as the youngest of six kids to Nigerian parents. He and his siblings were raised by his mother, Philippa. Idris had a dream of being the next Cristiano Ronaldo. Likewise, he was also interested in rugby. Idris’ elder siblings have all made their careers in the corporate industry.

Damson Idris began his acting career after meeting actress, Cathy Tyson. He was encouraged by the actress to give an audition for a part in her play titled Pandora’s Box. Idris eventually got the role and after that, he signed with an agent and started performing in more plays. Following then, he performed at the Royal National Theatre and decide to make a career in TV and movies. Idris subsequently appeared in several British series such as Doctors, Miranda, and Casualty.

Idris got his breakout role in the FX crime drama, Snowfall where he portrayed an ambitious 19-year-old drug dealer, Franklin Saint. The first season of the series debuted in July 2017 that showed the crack cocaine epidemic phase in the United States in 1983. For perfection in the role, Idris had spent the day with the director, John Singleton in Los Angeles who wanted to make sure that Idris had mastery of the accent.

He also worked together with rapper WC to practice the American accent. The rapper taught him an authentic accent and mannerisms specific to South Central Los Angeles. The second series of the crime drama premiered in July 2018.

In 2016, Damson had his first big screen role in the British thriller, City of Tiny Lights. Following a year, he appeared in the American movie, Megan Leavey alongside Kate Mara.

In 2018, he appeared as an FBI agent in the movie, The Commuter. Then, he starred in the 2018 British movie, Farming, which was a semi-autobiographical story of the Nigerian-British actor, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. In the movie, he portrayed the character based on a Nigerian actor who farmed out to a UK white family in the hopes of a better life. For his outstanding performance in the movie, he received the Award for Best Actor in a British Film at the Edinburg Film Festival in 2019.

Damson Idris is currently dating 26 years old American socialite and entrepreneur, Lori Harvey. In early January 2023, Idris used social media to share a very affectionate photo with Harvey writing “Happy birthday Nunu”. In the Instagram post, the two were seen sitting across from each other. Idris showered his lady love in affection, wrapping her in his arms and kissing her cheek. Harvey was seen very happy with her new man as she gushed with a smile on her face.
