Joaquin Niemann is a professional golfer from Chile. He turned professional in 2018 and won his first PGA Tour title, A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier in September 2019. Joaquin Niemann had an outstanding amateur career where he ranked at the top in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for the consecutive 44 weeks. He had earlier planned to play at the University of South Florida. However, he couldn’t study at the University due to his TOEFL scores.

Niemann gained entry into the 2018 U. S. Open and the 2018 Open Championship after the conclusion of the summer’s championship season. Likewise, he won the 2017 Mark H. McCormack medal for ranking at the top in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Then, in 2018, he won the Latin American Amateur Championship.

Joaquin eventually gained entry into the 2018 Masters Tournament after winning the 2018 Latin America Amateur. After turning professional in 2018, he won the 2018 Valero Texas Open where he finished sixth. Following that, he gained Special Temporary Member Status and competed for the rest of 2018 on the PGA Tour.

Niemann gained a PGA Tour card for the 2018-19 season after finishing fourth top 10 in 8 tournaments. He got his first PGA Tour to win at A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier in September 2019.
