Early life

Lil Gotit was born on August 6 in the year 1999 in Atlanta, Georgia. His real name is Semaja Zair Render. He was born the youngest kid among seven kids of his parents. Gotit spent his childhood days growing up in Forest Park located on the Southside of Atlanta’s Conley Road.

Gotit dropped out of high school when he was in his freshman year. He had not taken rap seriously until he lost his friend, Ruby. Gotit lost his friend just a few days before the release of a group compilation mixtape titled “Young Slime Season” in 2016.

Gotit started his rapping career by working with his elder brother, Lil Keed. With his brother, he collaborated on many songs such as “Dirty Dancer”, “Trap Bunkin”, and “All Season”.

Gotit was soon listed as one of the next rising rap stars of Atlanta. At that time, his songs were mostly played in clubs in Atlanta. He derived his name Lil Gotit from Maja Gotit, which means having everything. Gotit has mentioned the rapper, Young Thug as his mentor.

Gotit started getting fame after he collaborated with rapper, Lil Uzi Vert on their song “Heavy Metal”. Then, he worked with the Lil Uzi again on their next song titled “Hercules”, which was released in November 2018. Gotit later worked with a rapper, Gunna on the song titled “Superstar”. He eventually released his first studio album titled “Hood Baby” through Alamo Records on November 16, 2018. The album was produced by Yung Lan and consists of 18 songs.

Gotit dropped his second studio album “Crazy But It’s True” in March 2019. His second album features known artists such as Lil Durk, Lil Keed, Gunna, and Wali Da Great. In March 2019, he dropped the music video of his song “Drop The Top” featuring his brother, Lil Keed. Gotit made an announcement of his third studio album, Hood Baby 2 on August 22, 2019. After a month in September 2019, he dropped his new mixtape titled “The Real Goat”.

Gotit dropped a collaborative song titled “A’Team (You Ain’t Safe)” in January 2020. Then, he came up with another song “Bet Up” in February 2020. With that, he announced his forthcoming music project titled Superstar Creature. Gotit dropped the song “Bricks in the Attic” in April 2020. The song was included in his third album, Hood Baby 2. In August 2020, he dropped his collaborative song “What It Was”.

Gotit released the song titled “Wok” on March 17, 2021. Following that, on June 10, 2021, he dropped his fourth studio album “Top Chef Gotit”. He released his collaborative song titled “Walk Down” in December 2021. Gotit dropped his fifth studio album titled The Cheater on May 4, 2022.

Personal Life

Lil Gotit has not stated anything about his present relationship status.  Gotit lost his elder brother, Lil Keed on May 13. After confirming his brother’s death, he recently spoke about his final moments with his late brother. On an Instagram video posted by the neighborhood talk, he said that “we rushed to the hospital, I looked in man’s eyes like, Damn, my brother gone”. The real cause behind his brother’s death is still yet to be revealed.
