Early life
Max Homa was born on November 9 in the year 1990 in Burbank, California. He studied at Valencia High School and received his graduate degree in 2009. While in high school, he was the 2009 Foothill League MVP and the four-time first-team All-Foothill League selection.
Homa then earned a scholarship to study at the University of California, Berkley. He continued to play college golf at the University and holds a degree in Consumer Behavior. As a junior golfer, he was into the second-team All-Pac-12 and third-team PING Division I All-American. From 2012 to 2013, he started playing as a senior. At that time, he ranked at No. 19 on the Golfweek. As a senior, he also held the title of the Pac-12 Championship.
Homa broke the course record at the Los Angeles Country Club after winning the Pac-12 Championship. Then he was named into the All-Nicklaus Team and the first-team All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Homa made a place in Junior America’s Cup team in 2008 where he was representing South Carolina. After a year, he came out as the winner of the Ventura County Junior Golf Association Robinson Ranch.

He eventually won his first professional event at the Web.com Tour’s golf tournament, BMW Charity Pro-Am. For the title, he defeated Jonathan Randolph and earned the prize amount of $117,000.
Homa earned his PGA Tour card for the 2014-15 season after finishing 17th on the Web.com Tour regular-season money list. He appeared in 27 events in the 2015 PGA Tour season. That same season, he was able to make 12 cuts and earn the total amount of $380,339. However, he lost his tour card after finishing 163rd in the FedEx Cup standings. Homa later regained his PGA Tour Card for the 2016-17 season after winning the Rust-Oleum Championship in the 2016 Web.com Tour season.
Homa got his first PGA Tour victory on May 5, 2019, where he lifted the title of the Wells Fargo Championship. With the victory, he earned a two-year extension of his PGA Tour card. Then in February 2021, he won his second PGA Tour event at the Genesis Invitational. His third PGA Tour victory came in September 2021 when he lifted the title at the Fortinet Championship. Homa captured his fourth PGA Tour title at the Wells Fargo Championship on Sunday, May 8.

Max Homa is married to a real estate agent, Lacey Croom. He tied the knot with Lacey in November 2019. Homa shared a post on his official Instagram celebrating his marriage anniversary in November 2020. The pair doesn’t share any kids together, but, they own a dog named Scotty.
