Omi In A Hellcat was born Bill Omar Carrasquillo in Philadelphia, United States on September 6, 1986. His parents raised him as one of 38 children in North Philadelphia. Omi lost his mother at an early age who died of a drug overdose. He described his dad as a drug kingpin from whom he learned how to cook crack cocaine when he was 12.

Omi In A Hellcat spent his early days with his relatives and foster parents. Later, he stayed with his father when he came out of jail. Omi got into drug dealing in his teenage years. Due to that, he spent most of his time in and out of jail.

Omi was in his late 20s when he swore off the trade and turned his attention to the business. In his early days, he worked as a pizza delivery driver. He also found a hosting company and resold various games such as Grand Theft Auto 5 and Minecraft.

Omi also worked as an application developer and created several successful apps. In fact, he made a hefty amount of profits by selling the applications. In 2016, he started his YouTube channel and shared his first video titled Pay Day At Reloaded Construction-Vlog Episode 1 on May 16. Following that, he continuously shared videos on his self-titled YouTube channel.

The Philadelphia-based YouTube star shared his last YouTube video titled “Taking Deliver of a 2023 TRX Ram” on January 21, 2023. Prior to that, he shared videos titled “Burning My Balenciagas”, “My Employee Just Stole From Me!!!”, and “I Can’t Believe she cheats with 2 men”.

In September 2021, Omi was indicted for running a multi-million dollar business as Gears TV and Gears Reloaded. After that, he opened dozens of accounts with cable companies like Comcast and Verizon FiOS who hacked the encrypted cable boxes. Afterward, they streamed and resold the copyrighted content such as on-demand movies and TV shows to their subscribers over the internet for $15 a month.

Omi’s crime is considered one of the most brazen TV piracy schemes that are ever prosecuted by the Justice Department. Due to piracy schemes, he has attracted over 100k subscribers and generated over $34 million in profits before it was finally shut down by the federal authorities in 2019.

Omi was sentenced to five and a half years in prison by a federal judge on March 7, 2023. In addition to that, he was ordered to forfeit over $30 million in assets that he personally took home from his business. Not only that but he was also ordered to pay nearly $11 million in restitution to the cable companies that he had pirated.

The 36-year-old YouTube star reportedly failed to report to the IRS any of the money that he made from his business between 2016 and 2019. As per reports, he owns $5.7 million in additional back taxes. The federal authorities froze his multiple bank accounts. Likewise, they seized his collection of Lamborghinis, Bentleys, and Porsches, and his portfolio of over four dozen properties he owns across Philadelphia.

Though he plead guilty, he claimed that all of his assets are legitimate and earned from his YouTube channel and construction company as a landlord.
