Monaleo was born on April 24, 2001, in Houston, Texas. She grew up singing in church. Monaleo used to sing with her brother, Yung Rampage, who is a rapper. Monaleo started dedicating her full-time to music in January 2020. She came up with her debut song, Beating Down Yo Block in September 2020. The song was produced b Merion Krazy. Monaleo was able to get the attention of listeners with her punchy and witty rhymes. Then, she released a series of one-off songs including the anthemic, We Not Humping. The anthemic later earned a remix from rapper, Flo Milli after she slid into her DMS.
