Austin Dillon was born on the 27th of April, 1990 in Welcome, North Carolina. He was born to Mike and Tina Dillon. His father is also a former professional stock racing car driver who currently works as the general manager for the Richard Childress team. Austin’s grandfather, Richard Childress is an RCR team owner.

Austin grew up with his older brother, Ty Dillon who is also a racing driver and competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup series. Dillon started his racing career by competing in the Legend Cars Series and the Bandolero Mini Cars series. After a year, he began competing at dirt late model racer, Dale McDowell’s school.
