In May 2010, the two websites, reddit.com and GossipBoy.ca posted video embeds of his song. Later on, the video was embedded by Yahoo! Music’s video blog. Chance’s video was reached to Ellen DeGeneres through his brother, who wrote to her show that she should watch Greyson’s video.

His video had around 10,000 views when Ellen DeGeneres first watched it. Greyson was later invited to give a performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on May 11. The following day, Ellen announced that Chance’s booking on her show was broadcast at different times all around the United States. Greyson’s appearance on DeGeneres’ show was broadcast on May 13. Before that, he taped an interview in Los Angeles. Surprisingly, he received a call from his inspiration, Lady Gaga during the interview.
