Josh Hawley was born on the 31st of December, 1979 in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born to Ronald and Virginis Hawley. His dad worked as a banker while his mom was a teacher. For his study, he joined Stanford University and Yale Law School. He graduated from law school in 2006.
Hawley was politically ambitious and a deeply religious conservative since the early days. He was the president of the Yale Law school’s Federal society chapter and was an editor of the Yale Law Journal. After law school, he worked as a law clerk for two years. In 2007, he served as a clerk for the Chief Justice, John Roberts of the United States Supreme Court. In 2008, he started working at the law firm, Hogan & Hartson as an appellate litigator.

Josh ran for the Attorney General of Missouri in 2016. He eventually defeated Kurt Schaefer in the Republican primary on August 2. Later, on November 8, he beat Democrat, Teresa Hensley in the general election receiving 58.5% of the vote. After two years, he ran for the U. S. Senate. He formed an exploratory campaign committee in August 2017 and declared his candidacy in Missouri’s 2018 U. S. Senate election for the Republican nomination in October 2017.
Hawley was endorsed by Donald Trump in November 2017. He was competing with 11candidates to hold the seat of then-Senator, McCaskill. He was later criticized by both Democrats and Republicans for initiating the Senate campaign less than a year after being appointed as attorney general. Later, he dismissed the critics saying that he had not thought of running into the Senate during the attorney general campaign. Hawley eventually defeated McCaskill in the November 2018 general election by receiving 51% votes.
Josh was sworn in as United States Senator in January 2019. After he took over the role of Senator, he prevented Trump nominee, Michael S. Bogren from being hired as a district judge for the Western District of Michigan. Hawley intended to object to the U. S. Senate’s certification of the Electorial college vote count on January 6, 2021, after Joe Biden got the victory in the 2020 presidential election.
The U. S. Senator, Hawley was accused of being transphobic in a Senate Committee hearing on Tuesday, July 12, and drew attention to witnesses for the use of the phrase, people with a capacity for pregnancy. He was accused in a hearing that focused on the legal consequences of the recent United States Supreme court decision to overturn the federal right to an abortion. On the matter, some activists urged to use of inclusive language about abortion as nonbinary people and transgender men are equally capable of becoming pregnant and having a child.

Josh Hawley is married to the University of Missouri’s associate professor of law, Erin Morrow. He tied the knot with Erin in 2010. Together, they share three kids. Josh rented an apartment in Jefferson City after a complaint was filed against him that stated the attorney general must live within the city limits of the state capital.
While, his other family members continued to reside in Columbia, Missouri, he sold his Columbia house after being elected to United States Senate and bought a house in Vienna, Virginia.
