Paul Gosar was born on November 27, 1958, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, United States. He was born to Antone John and Bernadette M. Gosar. Paul was raised by his parents in Pinedale, Wyoming. In 1977, he received high school graduation from Pinedale High School. He earned a B. S. degree from Creighton University in 1981, and a D.D.S. from the Boyne School of Dentistry in 1985.

Paul had initially started off his career by running a dentistry practice in Flagstaff, which he ran from 1989 to 2010. He was named the Arizona Dental Association’s Dentist of the Year in 2001. Paul made an announcement of challenging a Democratic incumbent, Ann Kirkpatrick in the first district in the 2010 elections. Paul was victorious in the Republican primary election. In November 2010, he defeated Kirkpatrick in the general election receiving 49.7 % of the vote.

In November 2012, he defeated his Democratic challenger, Johnnie Robinson receiving 67% of the vote. Likewise, in 2014, he got an easy victory against the Democratic nominee, Mikel Weisser, where he received 70% of the vote in the 2014 midterm elections. Paul continued to remain as a U. S. House representative in Arizona District 4 in 2020 after he was reelected with 69.7% of the vote against the Democratic nominee, Delina DiSanto.

Paul was one of the Republican members of Congress who requested to appoint a Special Counsel to conduct an irregularities investigation in the 2020 election. He and Andy Biggs were even featured in a video produced by the Arizona Republican Party, where they claimed the widespread voter fraud in the election.

Paul further put a point claiming the voting machines in Arizona were faulty, and he claimed that Wisconsin paused counting votes intentionally to dump 100,000 votes into the count for Biden. Paul voted in line 86.1% of the time with the president’s state position during Donald Trump’s presidency and voted 5.1% of the time in line during Joe Biden’s presidency.
