Luke Russert was born on August 22, 1985, in New York, New York City. He was raised by his parents, Maureen Orth and Tim Russert . His mom is also a journalist who serves as a special correspondent for Vanity Fair. Likewise, his dad was the longest-serving moderator of NBC’s Meet Press.

Regarding his education, he studied at St. Albans School and graduated in 2004. Then, he attended Boston College where he graduated in Communications and History in 2008.
