Tom Hoge was born on May 25 in the year 1989 in Statesville, North Carolina. He was born to Chuck and Rhoda Hoge. Tom grew up with two siblings named Charlie and Elli. He spent his childhood days growing up in Fargo, North Dakota.

Tom attended the Texas Christian University and played college golf there. While playing college golf, he got the victory in two events. Hoge also held several amateur titles including the Minnesota and North Dakota amateur titles. Tom began his professional career soon after he received his college graduation in 2011.

Tom appeared in 32 events in the 2018-19 season and made a place in the Top 10 just once. Though, he made 17 cuts in the season. Tom then made 13 cuts and entered in Top 10 twice in the 2019-20 season.

He subsequently entered to top 10 twice and made 16 cuts in the 2020-21 season. In the ongoing 2021-22 season, he appeared in 22 events and made 16 cuts.
