Asher Monroe was born on September 18 in the year 1988 in Arlington, Virginia. He was born to Larry and Kellye Monroe. Asher grew up with an older brother, Chad Monroe. Asher was 13 when he lost her father due to cancer. He eventually started writing songs after the demise of his father.

Monroe studied at home instead of attending a normal school. He first appeared in the Broadway production of Beauty and The Beast when he was 7. Monroe was on the first national tour when he got the role of Chip in the Broadway production.

After completing high school, he became the lead singer of the R&B boy band, V Factory. The boy band released their first EP titled “These Are The Days” in April 2008. As one of the members of the boy band, his first song titled “Love Struck” was released on iTunes in February 2009. The song peaked in the Top 40 on mainstream radio. He began his solo career in 2011 with the shortened name, Asher Monroe. During that time, he started producing new singles with various Los Angeles-based talent.

Monroe released his first music video of his song “Like I Do” on YouTube. The music video gathered over 1.6 million views in a short time. In fact, the video received half of 1.6 million views in the first 24 hours. Asher released his second music video titled “Hello Baby” on Forbes and Huffington Post. In late February 2012, he released the song “Every Night”. The music video quickly racked up more than 2.5 million views. The song was released just ahead of the 20-city co-headlining national tour.

Monroe founded the Independent music label named D Empire Entertainment after finishing the national tour. He started the music label along with the entrepreneur, Diana Jenkins. Asher collaborated with singer, Ryan Tedder on his song “Here With You” in August 2012. The track charted in the Top 10 on the Billboard charts. He came up with a remix version of the EP titled “Here With You” in February 2013. The remix version features the Grammy-nominated DJs, Sick Individuals, and Dave Aude. Following that, he co-wrote and produced his next song “Hush Hus” in July 2013.

Monroe worked with the Academy Award-winning director, Danis Tanovic for the music video of his song “Hush Hush”. The song eventually made placed in the Top 10 Billboard. In addition, the song was featured on MTV. The track was released through his music label, D Empire Entertainment, and the distribution partner, Ingrooves/Fontana. His record label, D Empire Entertainment collaborated with Chris Brown,  and Bu Thiam, who is a Senior VP of A&R for Def Jam in December 2012.

Monroe started working on his new material with the singer, Chris Brown and Sean Kingston in late 2013. He came up with his new EP which includes the songs “Christmas Is Here To Stay” and “Warm Winter Night”. The official music video of his songs was directed by Giuliano Bekor. He dropped the music video of his song “Memory” featuring singer, Chris Brown in February 2014.

Asher Monroe is currently engaged to RHOBH star, Sanela Diana Jenkins. His partner, Diana is the newest housewife on the Season 12 of RHOBH. Dina was also in a relationship with British banker Roger Jenkins. Asher and Diana share a daughter together named Eliyanah who was born on November 25, 2020. He shared a snapshot of his daughter in January 2022.
