The first incarnation of the reality show, Baddies ATL premiered on May 16, 2021. Then, the second incarnation of the series premiered on June 12, 2022. The reality series is a reboot of the Bad Girls Club that came in early 2019. Back then, Natalie Nunn announced that the team is working on the reunion special.

The reunion special was initially developed to be released on the adult platform, OnlyFans. The production team also made uncensored material for a particular price. However, in the series, three cast members, Erika, Danielle, and Gabrielle stepped out of the show. They were eventually replaced by Tiana Small.
