Bo Burnham was born on August 21 in the year 1990 in Hamilton, Massachusetts. He was born to Patricia and Scott Burnham. His father is a construction company owner and his mom is a hospice nurse. She grew up with two siblings; an elder brother Pete and an elder sister Samm. Both of his siblings have worked in the family’s construction company.

Burnham studied at the St. John’s Preparatory School. He studied free in the school as his mom was the school’s nurse. Burnham graduated from school in 2008 and then joined the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He studied experimental theatre at the University. Burnham earned early recognition after posting his song titled “My Whole Family” on YouTube. Then he started releasing pubescent musical comedy songs and videos on the online platforms. He had earlier written and released songs about white supremacy, homosexuality, Helen Keller’s disabilities, and more. The interesting part of his video is that all videos are self-recorded in his bedroom and around his family’s house in Hamilton.

In January 2008, he recorded a performance for the Comedy Central’s “The World Stands Up”. He was then just 17 at that time.
