DiBello was born on March 28, 1984, in Florida. She grew up with one of her family friends who was working as a money manager for the Saudi royal family members. After the 9/11 attacks, they moved to Saudi Arabia after two of the attackers took flying lessons by staying in Florida with the family. She shifted her place to Los Angeles in her early 20s.

Carla DiBello initially worked for a casino magnate, Steve Wynn. Then, she worked as an assistant to Israeli-American film producer, Avi Lerner. Thereafter, her journey as an associate producer began in various projects including Black Dahila, King of California, The Wicker Man, The Contract, Home of the Brave, and many more. She got into fame after she produced the Kardashian family in the show called Keeping up with the Kardashians.

DiBello later produced the TV show, Kourtney and Kim Take New York. After working with the Kardashians for many years, she stopped working with them in 2013 after she formed her own production company called CDB. Carla started spending more time in the Gulf region after she helped organize the Dubai Film Festival in 2005. During her stay in the Gulf region, she reconnected with her childhood friend.

Carla’s production company has produced many films for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which includes her first documentary, Electric Kingdom. The documentary is about Saudi Arabia’s first Formula E race that explores the reforms underway in Saudi Arabia.

Carla is recently working on the funding for the launch of the streaming platform, Arabia Plus which is set to launch in January 2023. The new streaming platform is mainly aimed at providing authentic content in terms of Middle Eastern stories. The platform will initially feature 7 originals produced by Carla’s team. The originals include a short firm and a series. Along with that, the platform features Arab films and content from budding regional filmmakers.

Carla worked on the streaming platform due to her love for the Middle East and her passion for storytelling. The new streaming platform, Arabia Plus’ content will also include an Abu Dhami film, Seven Wonders of Saudi Arabia which is made on the history of the UAE, and a psychological thriller, Maskoon.

She instantly fell in love with Dubai the first time she visited in 2006. Thereafter, she kept coming back to UAE in the work process of her different projects. She finally moved to Dubai in 2014.
