Early life

Carrot Top was born Scott Thompson on the 25th of February, 1965 in Rockledge, Florida. He was born to Larry and Dona Thompson. His father worked as a NASA engineer. For his study, he joined Cocoa High School.

He held his graduation degree in 1983. Carrot has red hair and in a reference to his hair, the local swimming coach gave him a nickname, Carrot Top. Following high school, he attended Florida Atlantic University.

In his freshman year, he appeared in his first standup comedian routine. As a comedy artist, he has made appearances in many TV shows such as Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Criss Angel Mindfreak, George Lopez, Scrubs, and The Tugger: The Jeep 4×4 Who Wanted to Fly. Carrot recorded a commentary track comedy-drama movie, The Rules of Attraction in 2002.

In addition, he appeared in an episode of the TV series “Reno 911!” in 2006. He appeared as an enraged version of himself in the series. Then, he made an appearance as a guest judge on NBC’s talent show “Last Comic Standing” in 2008. Initially, he worked as the continuity announcer for the Cartoon Network. Besides that, he starred in and produced an early morning show, Carrot Top’s AM Mayhem for two years from 1994 to 1996.

Carrot appeared on the TV game show, Don’t Forget the Lyrics! In January 2010 where he assisted illusionists, at Penn & Teller. Then, he appeared at the Comedy Central Roast of Flavor Flav and Gene Simmons ROast. Afterward, he became a regular guest on the TV series “Mind Freak”. He has his own style of ending the show, for which, he uses a lip-synced musical montage.
