Early life

Corey Conners was born on January 7 in the year 1992 in Listowel, Ontario. He was born to Mike and Janet Conners. Corey spent most of his life living in a small town. When he was two, he moved to the one-stoplight town of Palmerston. He stayed there for over a decade. Corey completed high school education while staying in Listowel.

Corey played hockey until he turned a teenager. Even though he loved to play hockey, later he realized that he was not tough as other on-ice competitors.

Corey started to play golf when he turn 15. As a junior golfer, he won a pre-teen national title. He also won the 2010 Ontario Amateur. He was 17 years old when he made a place in Golf Canada’s national junior team. Following year, he made it into the men’s team.

Corey performed well in his amateur career. He finished as a runner-up while competing at the 2014 U. S. Amateur. Next year, he competed in the 2015 Masters Tournament. Corey couldn’t make it further in the tournament after missing the cut. He started playing as a professional golfer in 2015. He competed as a professional in the 2016 RBC Canadian Open. Then, he qualified for the Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament in December 2016, where he tied for 42.

After a good performance at the qualifying tournament, he secured a place on the Web.com Tour happening in 2017. He had a good tournament at the Valspar Championship in March 2018, where he held the 54-hole lead. He finished T16 in the tournament. At the end of the 2018 season, he finished at 130 in the FedEx Cup.

Conners competed at the Sanderson Farms Championship in October 2018. There, he finished second and won the prize amount of $475,200. Then in April 2019, he competed at the Valero Texas Open and won the PGA Tournament by 2 strokes over Charley Hoffman. The victory earned him the final place at the 2019 Masters Tournament. In 2010, he was named the first Monday qualifier to get a victory on the PGA Tour since Indian golfer, Arjun Atwal won the 2010 Wyndham Championship.
