Early life
Bongino was born on December 4, 1974, in New York City. He spent his childhood days in Queens, New York City, and studied at Archbishop Molly High School. Following high school graduation, he joined Queens College, from where he earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology. Later, he attended the Pennsylvania State University where he received a Master of Business Administration degree.

Bongino started his professional career in 1995 by joining the New York City Police Department. He worked there until 1999 and then joined the United States Secret Service as a special agent. In 2002, he left the New York Field Office and began serving as an instructor at the Secret Service Training Academy.
During George W. Bush’s second term in 2006, he served at the Presidential Protection Division. He still remained on protective duty after Barack Obama was announced, the new president. In May 2011, he eventually left his job at Secret Service and ran for the United States Senate.
Dan is currently serving as a radio show host and political commentator on local and national radio shows. He has served as a guest host for Mark Levin radio shows on Washington-based station, WMAL-FM talk radio. Dan has also served as a paid contributor on NRATV until December 2018. He has made frequent appearances on Fox News’ opinion programming.
In December 2018, he featured as a guest host on Hannity’s Fox News show. In March 2021, Dan was signed by Cumulus Media where he replaced the conservative radio talk show “The Rush Limbaugh Show”.
Dan was announced as a host of a new weekend show titled “Unfiltered With Dan Bongino” in May 2021. He appeared as a host of a five-part series “Canceled in the USA” between July and August 2021. Bongino is known as a major propagator of the Spygate conspiracy, which has created a false claim against Obama’s administration for illegally spying on Donald Trump’s campaign. Dan has also centered around in media for his Big Lie after calling the 2020 presidential election was rigged.
Bongino subsequently made a place in the list of New York Times’ top five misinformation super spreaders. After he attempted the insurrection of the Capital on January 6, his Twitter account was temporarily suspended for violating the policies of Twitter regarding civics and integrity. He ran for the U. S. Senate’s office first time in 2012 which was unsuccessful as he failed to get victory over incumbent Democrat, Ben Cardin.
Dan was likewise unable to win the campaign for the House of Representatives seat for Maryland’s 6th Congressional District. His unsuccessful campaign continued after he recorded a loss in the primary election following his expletive-filled tirade over a reporter. Bongino has authored several books.
His 2019 published book entitled “Exonerated: The Failed Takedown of President Donald Trump by the Swamp” was listed on The New York Times Best Seller List, identifying that the book gained a massive profit from bulk sales. However, he denied on book’s bulk sales profit in August 2020.

Dan was diagnosed with throat cancer in September 2020. For a recovery, he underwent surgery. Later, he revealed that he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. In 2021, he announced that he had fully recovered from the disease.
