Guerdy Abraira is one of the well-known wedding planners from Miami. She owns a company named Guerdy Design which was featured as one of the world’s top wedding planners by reputed magazines, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Guerda has been running her event planning company for the last 8 years.

Abraira was born on January 6, 1978, in Haiti. She moved along with her parents to Paris when she was 9. Subsequently, after a year, she and her family moved to Florida. She grew up with seven siblings. However, she lost one of her brothers named Emmanuel during the 2010 Haiti earthquake.  She received her graduate degree from St. Thomas University, Florida.

Guerdy Abraira began her career by hosting parties at a local level. After that, she worked as a catering manager in a hotel on Fisher Island, where she was highly praised for her work. During that time, she was known as a person who could sell water to a well. Subsequently, after that, she was promoted to a senior position at Fisher Island.

Abraira grew up in different places in the world. Due to that, she learned a deep understanding of different cultures and also developed an international palette for design. Guerdy earlier wanted to be a news anchor, however, later she became more attracted to hosting and event designing.

After getting hands-on experience as a catering manager, she started her own floral and events studio, Ocean Flowers and Events on Fisher Island. She ran the studio in Fisher Island for seven years before shifting it to the main Miami place on a growing client number. Eventually, by 2018, the event studio became one of the top five event planning firms in Miami.

Abraira later expanded the event firm under the name of Guerdy Design. To date, the event firm has executed several luxurious weddings in different countries of the world such as France, Mexico, and New Zealand. The event company also has many high-profile names in its client list including sports stars and actors. The event studio is reportedly earning revenue of around $5 million as of now.

Guerdy came into the spotlight after she was announced as the new cast member in the fifth season of The Real Housewives of Miami. The new season of the much-awaited reality series premiered on December 8, 2022. Some of the other stars to appear on the shows are Adriana De Moura, Julia Lemigova, Lenny Hochstein, Marysol Patton, Larsa Pippen, and many more.

In addition to being a wedding planner and designer, she recently had a new partnership with Shark Beauty. She shared about the newest product to join the Shakr Beauty FlexStyle at BravoCon 2022.

Guerdy Abraira has been married to married to her high school sweetheart, Russell Abraira since 2002. Russell is known to be a firefighting chief, with whom, she tied the knot after 7 years of dating. Together, they share two sons. While talking to a news outlet, she revealed that she is very lucky to get married to Russell. And if she was not married to him, she would have been probably single.
