Ian Poulter’s professional golf career began in 1996. He got his first professional win at the 1999 Open de Cote d’Ivoire. Poulter claimed the Italian Open title in his first season. He was also the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year in 2000.

In 2004, he won the tour championship, the Volvo Masters. He earned his highest placing in 2013 after finishing second on the Order of Merit. He became a member of the victorious squad in 2004. After that, he took membership in the PGA Tour in 205.

Poulter competed at the 2008 Master’s Tournament and made a hole-in-one at Augusta National in the first round. After that, he played in the 2008 Ryder Cup and scored the highest points.
