Early life
Jordan Spieth was born on the 27th of July, 1993 in Dallas, Texas to parents, Shawn and Mary Christine Spieth. He earlier studied at St. Monica Catholic School. Later, he joined the Jesuit College Preparatory School, from where he received his graduate degree in 2011.
Spieth had decided from the beginning that he would be a golfer. To turn his dream into reality, he joined Brookhaven Country Club. Jordan was in excellent form since his amateur carer. He lifted the title of the U. S. Junior Amateur and became the tournament’s only two-time winner alongside Tiger Woods. He was on the No. 1 list in the AJGA Golf Rankings before he turned 18 in July 2011.
Jordan was named the Rolex Junior Player of the Year by the American Junior Golf Association in 2009. In 2010, he was able to make a cut in the PGA Tour’s HP Byron Nelson Championship. He finished at 16th place after the end of the tournament and he subsequently received another exemption in the 2011 tournament. Spieth made the cut and finished at 32nd place in the tournament. He continued to play golf at the University of Texas, where he was a member of the 2011 Walker Cup team.

Jordan turned professional midway while studying in his sophomore year at Texas. He played his first tournament in the 2013 season. Unfortunately, he missed the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open. Following that he made three cuts at the Puerto Rico Open, and tied for 7th place at the Tampa Bay Championship. In March, he was able to earn a Special Temporary Member status that allowed him an unlimited sponsor exemption.
Spieth became the fourth-youngest PGA Tour winner after he defeated the defending champion, David Heam and Zach Johnson in a sudden-death play in the John Deere Classic. Following the victory, he was granted full status as a PGA Tour member. With that, he became eligible for the FedEx Cup. He finished at 10th rank on the PGA Tour money list at the end of the 2013 season. His ranking in Official World Golf Ranking also improved as he reached 22nd on the list.
In April 2014, he made his Master’s debut where he shared the 54-hole lead with professional golfer, Bubba Watson. At the end of the tournament, he finished a tie for second place and became the youngest runner-up in Masters history. He registered his second tournament win at the Emirates Australian Open in November 2014. In March 2015, he won the Valspar Championship. With the victory, he reached 6th place in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Spieth claimed his second major championship on June 21, 2015, after he won the U. S. Open. In 2016, he won the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. At the end of 2015 in November, he won the Emirates Australian Open. In July 2017, he won the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. After struggling for a few years, he came back in the good form in 2021. He registered a victory at the Valero Texas Open in the eight starts of the season, where he defeated Charley Hoffman by two strokes.
