Joyce Giraud was born on April 4 in the year 1975 in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico. She completed her University graduation from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. Giraud received two Bachelor of Arts degrees; Social work and Special education. Following graduation, she worked in public housing projects with underprivileged kids in Puerto Rico.

Joyce started modeling to give financial support to her mom. She also paid for her university studies by working as a model. Joyce eventually stood up as one of the top models in Puerto Rico. Joyce further made an appearance in many national and international campaigns. She stated that she was discovered while she worked at the drive-thru of a KFC restaurant.

Giraud competed in the Miss Universe Puerto Rico in 1998, and in the end, she won the title. After winning the title, she discovered her love of acting. Giraud was eventually signed by director Vicente Castro for the lead role in his upcoming project titled “Corralito Tiene Dos Maridos”. Afterward, she played many small roles in her native Puerto Rico.

Joyce also continued her successful modeling career after moving to Miami. She became the undefeated model of Star Search in 2001, after which, she made a decision to leap toward Los Angeles.
