Copeland was born on December 6, 1936, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born to Aubrey Wayne and Vinita Pearl. Kenneth grew up in West Texas near U. S. Army Air Forces airfield. Kenneth Copeland founded the Kenneth Copeland Ministries (KCM) alongside his wife, Gloria in 1967. He and his wife founded the Ministries after attending pastor seminars of a preacher, Kenneth E. Hagin. Through the ministry, he has successfully brought more than 122 million people to the Lord Jesus Christ. Besides preaching and ministering at KCM, the couple also preaches and minister at other conferences and conventions all over the world.

In fact, the conference events stream live on Copeland’s website and Christian TV stations, the Daystar TV Network, and GOD TV. The KCM is located on a 33-acre property in Fort Worth. There are around 500 people working at the ministry. In October 2007, KCM received a 1998 Cessna 550 Citation Bravo which is sued for domestic flights. Similarly, KCM acquired a Gulfstream V in 2018. Kenneth was accused of using KCM’s 2005 Cessna 750 Citation X for personal vacations and friends. While the jet is used mainly for international flights. In January 2009, Copeland filed a suit to have his $3.6 million private jet given tax-exempt status. However, his request was denied later.

Copeland also got into controversy for using church donations to purchase a $20 million Gulfstream V private jet from Tyler Perry. Even after he bought the jet, he fell into another controversy for asking his followers to make a donation of an additional $17 to $20 million for upgrading his airport’s runway and hangar. KCM launched the Believer’s Voice of Victory Network in 2015 on television provider, Dish’s channel 265. At the beginning of 2022, the network was added to several national cable systems.

Kenneth was on the evangelical executive board during Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. However, during the time, he gave clarification of not endorsing Trump. Prior to the 2016 election, he had said that the people belonging to the Christian community would be guilty of murder if they have not voted for Trump.
