Leah Messer was born on the 24th of April, 1992 in Elkview, West Virginia. She was born to Gary Lee and Dawn Spears. Her parents are of Jewish-Germanic ethnicity. She grew up with two siblings, a sister, Victoria, and a brother, Isaac. Leah stated that she has gone through sexual to physical abuse during her childhood.

Messer graduated from high school on May 29, 2010, through the School Age Expectant Mothers program. After that, she wanted to join nursing college. However, later she became pregnant with her twins, and her dream of becoming a nurse was left out.

Leah started off her career at an early age by joining the cast of 16 and Pregnant in Season 2. In the series, she was pregnant with twins, and later, her pregnancy becomes complicated as she goes into labor early. In the end, she gave birth to her twin daughters. However, her relationship with her then-boyfriend couldn’t succeed and eventually fell apart.

Due to the birth of her children, she had to miss out on her senior year. Leah and her then-boyfriend, Corey briefly separated in 2010 as she was not sure what exactly she wants from their relationship.

In 2011, she was featured in the MTV series “Teen Mom 2”. The reality series follows 4 teenage mothers who are in the first years of their motherhood.  In the series, she reconciled with her kids’ father and also marry him. Nevertheless, the marriage didn’t work out for both and the pair eventually divorced in 2011. Leah Messer announced her engagement to her boyfriend, Jaylan Mobley on Saturday, August 20. The reality star shared a post on Instagram with the caption “Two souls, one heart. It’s official”. In the comment section, her beau added, The one 4L! I love you to the ends of the earth.

Leah was proposed to by her boyfriend, Mobley on Friday night with a 4.7-carat custom ring, which was designed by New York Diamond Jewelries’ Jeweler, Mike Nekta. She has already experienced two failed marriages with Jeremy Calvert and Corey Simms. She has twin daughters, Alannah and Aleeah with Corey Simms, and has a daughter, Adalynn Faith with Jeremy Calvert.

While talking to Page Six, she revealed how she would be approaching marriage differently with Jaylon following her two failed relationships. She also called divorcing her two ex-husbands “liberating”.
