Nima became the central part of the attraction of media after he was arrested on Thursday, April 13, on suspicion of murdering Cash App founder, Bob Lee. The Cash App founder was stabbed to death in downtown San Francisco. According to San Francisco Police Chiefs, William Scott, Momeni, and Lee knew each other very well.

However, the San Francisco police chief didn’t explain in how law enforcement came to that conclusion. As per the sources, the two men were driving together in a car on the day when Lee was stabbed. The police accused Lee was stabbed multiple times with a knife. Nevertheless, the police didn’t clear out what confrontation the two were involved in.

On April 4, 2023, the San Francisco police wrote in a Facebook statement that, San Francisco police officers received a report of a stabbing near the 300 block of Main Street at approximately 2:35 a. m. After the officers arrived at the crime scene, they identified the victim, the cash App founder Bob Lee, who was suffering from apparent stab wounds.

After being stabbed, the officers immediately transported Lee to a local hospital. However, he could not be survived. After the incident, a video was also published by the San Francisco Standard, where Lee was seen walking up to a motorist holding his side after being stabbed. However, the motorist was captured driving away without offering help.

The video also shows Lee collapsing inside an apartment lobby. According to Lee’s wife, Krisie Lee, Momeni and Lee knew each other well. While talking to a news outlet, Kristie revealed that she isn’t clear yet what the motive is behind the killing.
