Giada De Laurentiis was born on August 22 in the year 1970 in Rome, Italy. Her mother, Veronica De Laurentiis is an actress, and her dad, Alex De Benedetti is an actor and producer. Giada’s maternal grandfather, Dino De Laurentiis was a film producer. Her parents separated shortly after their marriage in February 1970. Following separation, she and her siblings shifted to Southern California.

Giada studied at Marymount High School. Following graduation, she started studying at the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in social anthropology from the University in 1996.

Giada later gets enrolled at the Le Cordon Bleu to become a pastry chef. Upon returning to U. S, she started serving as a professional chef at various restaurants in Los Angeles. She also had experience working as a food stylist. Giada immediately gets noticed by the Food Network after she styled a piece in Food & Wine Magazine in the year 2002.

Laurentiis was eventually offered a daytime cooking show by the Food Network. The daytime cooking show was named Everyday Italian and was premiered on April 5, 2003. At first, she was uncomfortable hosting the show by facing the camera.
