Mina and her mom, Karen then formed great teamwork and started flipping houses in their free time around the Fountain Square neighborhood of Indianapolis. They eventually established a renovation company, Two Chicks, and a Hammer, Inc in Indianapolis in 2008. Starsiak’s mom, Laine retired as a stakeholder from the business in 2019.

The mother-daughter duo was contacted by the production company, High Noon Entertainment in 2016. After a successful meeting, HGTV’s reality series, Good Bones was born. The HGTV series has been continuing to entertain viewers by featuring the mother-daughter duo. Mina has also earned a lot of fans for her. Mina and her mother are loved for their signature style, where they create green spaces whenever possible. Mina Starsiak met her husband, Stephen Hawk through mutual friends via Facebook. After that, they met in person at a basketball game. However, they didn’t come close and neither fell in love at that moment. Even though, she had high hopes about meeting her Facebook crush. According to her, Stephen let his friend hit on her. After the game ended, she got a hold of Stephen’s number and texted him, we’re going to try this again tomorrow, you get one more shot.

Mina and Stephen eventually tied the knot in 2016. After two years of exchanging wedding vows, they became parents of their first son, Jack Richard Hawk in 2018. In March, the couple revealed that they were expecting their second child. In September 2020, the pair welcomed their daughter, Charlotte Drew Hawk. Mina’s husband, Stephen serves as an account executive at the CosStar Group. Along with his professional duties, he is also helping Mina with her business endeavors and often plays the role of Mr. Mom in her absence.
