Edwards was born in January 1988, in Hixon, Tennessee. He was born as the only kid to Lawrence and Jennifer Edwards. Not much detail is revealed regarding his upbringing, parents, and education.

Ryan Edwards came into the limelight after he appeared in the reality series, 16 and Pregnant in 2009. Then, he was featured in a spin-off of the previous hit, 16 and pregnant titled Teen Mom. He appeared as a supporting cast member in the reality series from Season 1 to Season 4.

The episodes of 16 & Pregnant focus mainly on Ryan and Maci’s reaction to her surprise pregnancy. The reality series also showed Ryan’s indifferences in the whole situation and the struggle they faced in their relationship due to their early parenthood.

The spin-off of the MTV reality series, Teen Mom follows the lives of four young teenage mothers as they negotiate parenting, familial and romantic relationships. The show presents the young mothers’ struggles with raising a child at a young age holding down their jobs and maintaining romance.

Ryan and his former girlfriend, Maci’s relationship was strained throughout the show as they both were unable to communicate properly about their son, Bently, and their visitation schedules. The pair was also seen arguing regularly. The continuous argument led Ryan to feel that Maci is purposely creating problems as he was constantly ganged up.

Ryan met his current wife, Mackenzie in 2016. His addiction problems also deeply impacted his romance with Mackenzie. After the June 2017 episode was aired, Ryan told that he had made the decision to check himself into a rehabilitation facility. He subsequently got back home fine and later thanked his wife and parents for their support.

Ryan alongside his wife, Mackenzie was fired from the show in 2021. The pair has been into controversy ever since. The news of the couple being fired from the series came after the reunion on the show. Ryan’s relationship with his ex, Maci got worse after Mackenzie and Maci exchanged heated words over social media.

His son, Bentley later said that he didn’t want to visit Ryan and Mackenzie’s house for their son’s birthday. According to Maci, Ryan has reportedly been an absent figure in Betnley’s life. While Ryan and his family have claimed that they had not been allowed to visit and see Bentley on various occasions.

Ryan Edwards accused his wife, Mackenzie Standifer of cheating on Thursday, February 9 in a heated Instagram post. He shared Mackenzie’s photo holding a leather jacket showing her bare skin underneath and wrote, if you guys have never seen a spineless sl** then this is one.

Ryan also mentioned Mackenzie as a woman who takes take the money and sleeps with anything that looks at them. The pair have been sharing ups and downs in their relationship since they started dating in 2016. They share two kids together, Jagger and Stella.

However, the couple has been working through their issues. Ryan once shared in an interview in the past that he has no plans to end his marriage with Mackenzie. He said it’s a work in progress.
