Early Life

Asian Doll was born on the 7th of December, 1996 in Dallas, Texas. He was born to Michael Allen and LaKeithia Lewis. Doll grew up with three siblings on the south side of Dallas. At the early stage of her life, she struggled with poverty. Her dad also stayed in and out of prison most of the time. The doll was 12 when she had her first run-in with the law.

Asian Doll initially joined Skyline High School. However, she couldn’t continue her study as she dropped out of high school in the 12th grade.

She started her music career by dropping her first project, Da Rise of Barbie Dol Gang Empire in December 2015. Thereafter, she released another album titled “Drippin in Glo” in 2016. The album helped her earn huge popularity.

At the end of 2016, she released her musical EP titled “Project Princess Vol. 1”. Considering her growing popularity, the well-known rapper, Lil Mister approached her to collaborate on many projects. Afterward, she worked with Lil Mister on many albums and songs. She released her next album, Outtaspace in 2017. That same year in August, she dropped another album, Kill Bill, Vol. 1. In April 2020, she released a mixtape, Doll SZN Reloaded.

On May 30, 2022, she called out the Compton rapper, The Game over the title of his new album, Drillmatic. She stated that the title of the album is suspiciously close to her forthcoming album, Let’s Do a Drill LP which she was dropping on June 17. Asian Doll wrote in her tweet “Not the game dropping on my day and his shit called drillmatric and my shit called let’s Do A Drill WTF”.

Previously, she came under fire herself due to her drill-influenced music. She was targeted by Chicago drill pioneer, Katie Got Bandz on Asian Doll crowning herself as the Queen of Drill. Later, the Chicago rapper unleashed a diss song titled Excuse Me Bitch.

After a heated battle between two drill rappers on social media, a group of New York residents launched GoFund Me. By launching a GoFundMe, the residents were helping her to find her way out of the Bikini Bottom Bronx Hopping and then sending her back to Texas where she actually came from. After a few days, she shared a tweet and wrote “moved back to Dallas it’s LITTTTTT”.

In 2019, she changed her name to Asian Da Brat in an attempt to differentiate herself from a group of female rappers who were using the stage name, Doll. Her new stage name Asian Da Brat was supposedly taken from a reference to the veteran female rapper, Da Brat. Later in an interview on Hot97 in April 2019, she stated that the stage name, Da Brat was a reference to Bratz Dolls, the brand of girls’ toys.

Asian Doll previously dated a Chicago rapper, King Von. Unfortunately, the rapper was killed in a shooting on November 6, 2020. After the death of King Von, she opened up about suffering from depression in January 2021. Asian Doll was arrested in New York for getting into a fight in June 2018. She was arrested again on drug charges in Georgia on September 4, 2020. However, she was released on bond after four days.
