Pat Perez was born on March 1 in the year 1976 in Phoenix, Arizona. His father’s name is Tony Perez. Nothing is known about his mother. Pat belongs to Mexican-American descent and has a brother, Mike Perez.

Pat’s brother is also a golfer who has played on the Korn Ferry Tour for two years in 2002 and 2006. He and his brother, both played in the 2001 Qualifying Tournament finals which took place at Bear Lakes CC in Florida. Pat studied at Arizona State University and graduated in 1997.

Perez started playing golf professionally in 1997. Initially, he played on the Asian Tour and Buy.com Tour. He won the Buy.com Ozarks Open in August 2000. Pat registered his first PGA Tour win after nine years at the Bob Hope Classic in 2009. Previously, he was able to reach the final twice but couldn’t lift the title.

In his first PGA Tour-winning event, he finished the first 36 holes with the lowest score of 124. His score was the lowest and tied the record for low score in the consecutive rounds. In the end, he got victory over John Merric by three strokes.

Pat went through shoulder surgery due to which he stayed in golf tournaments in the 2015-16 season. However, he made a strong comeback, and eventually lifted his second PGA Tour title at the OHL Classic on November 13, 2016. After a win, he became the first player to get a victory at the PGA Tour event on a Medical Extension. He got the victory on PGA Tour over Gary Woodland by two strokes. After that, he got his third professional victory at the CIMB Classic against Keegan Bradley.

Pat achieved his career-high rank in January 2018 when he peaked at 16 on the Official World Golf Ranking. He finished the 2020-21 season with back-to-back top 25 finishes.
